Yes it is with a sad and heavy heart I come to you on this day, a day for mourning….I have officially entered into a depressed state the last year of my 20’s. Today I am *gasp* 29! I remember being 14/15 and thinking that was old!!!!! Now as I enter into this “old age” I wonder where in the world has time gone! So what does ‘a year from being 30’ year old do or feel like. I have literally been dreading this birthday since I turned 27, I have no idea why, they say wisdom comes with age but for some reason I think that missed me LOL.
As an almost 30 year old I guess I should finally act a bit more mature and grown up, so here are the pictures I took so that you can see this new “mature” me:
Yep that is me “Ms. Serious”, pffft who the hell am I kidding I will never grow up, I will be 50 and acting 18 I am sure. But the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,my mom who is 46 is a nut and as crazy and fun as they come. She is a pastor of a church and a wonderful woman! So here’s to being depressed 29 and all the joys and craziness and of course dances that I will bring with it. After all I must leave my 20’s with a bang right!
Now your mission if you choose to accept it, is to first of all tell me about the birthday you dreaded most and why! Secondly so I can feel super uber special on my birthday go get all your friends and MAKE ask them to leave me a comment for my birthday so I can feel all special, especially since my loving husband didn’t remember to wish me one this morning! READY, SET, GO!

First of all, Happy Birthday! Do something special for yourself;and did Hubby remember yet?!
Secondly, I don’t really have any special memories of any birthday. Never did much on any of them! Enjoy yourself!
ps. Age is just a number, eventhough I’ve noticed some new aches and when I read small things I have to back it up alittle!!LOL I’m only 36!! (but they’re very small aches and the writing is crazy small!!)LOL
Happy Birthday Toni!!! I think the world puts so much stock in youth, that as we get older, we dread aging. No worries…you have a wonderful life and awesome friends!
The birthday I was anxious about was my 40th. But, when the day came and went, I was still in one piece, my hair didn’t turn all grey, nor did my teeth fall out!
Its so cliche, but age really IS just a number. Have a great day Toni! You deserve an awesome birthday!
Happy Birthday!!!!! 30 was tough for me but now as I approach 40 I have a different attitude about it! I am just choosing to ignore it! 🙂 Hope your day is special!
Happy Birthday!
I know I’m the youngest but seriously turning 27 this year was difficult. Especially cause I know that I’m entering almost 30 and then from there I just get older.
Ahhhhh, but I’ll let you get older first, LOL
Rachel nope he has not remembered yet so i will conveniently forget how to have a romantic evening if he tries anything LOL
Mimi I like your outlook, it’s nothing but a number
Susan, do what my grandfather did when he got to a certain age he just started going backwards LOL
Yes Alicia, let’s not rub in the fact that I am older that you but wisdom comes with age (or so I am told) so I have a leg up on you there LOL
Happy Birthday!
25 was a big one for me, because once I hit that, it meant I was in my Mid to late 20’s.
But 27 in a few months, isn’t scary, I’m not sure why.
Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday Toni…who’s one year away from being old…but is younger than me so who am I to say…Happy Birthady to you!!!
Try to think of it this way: you have one whole year to plan your 30th birthday party! I went to NYC with a friend to do nothing but shop for my 30th! Do it big!
Happy Birthday! I’m 35 and didn’t really mind turning 30. However, for some reason I am NOT looking forward to turning 40! I’m too young to turn 40!
Happy Birthday Toni!
I don’t celebrate the age anymore it’s all about just being here and celebrating me! So don’t worry about the number…it’s just a number after all. It doesn’t define who YOU are! I hope you have a wonderfull day.
Here are some lovely thoughts for you Toni!
Happy Birthday… maybe we can see another “booty” dance from you!
Have a wonderful birthday Leo lady!

Happy 29th! I am facing the big 3-0 next week. I feel your pain. Thanks for visiting our blog!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Hope he remember and you had a good day. HUGS*psstttt* I left you something on the board.
And for the record, I’m not dreading any birthday, YET.
Happy Birthday Toni!!! I hope you have a great one! I’m going to be 27 in a two months and i’m dreading it! It means I’m in my late 20’s and that much closer to 30. But 26, i think was the worst b/c i knew it was all down hill from there.
Happy Birthday Girlie!
I just turned 35 last week, but I haven’t really been down about an age yet. My mom and I share a birthday, and any birthday we don’t spend together is a bummer. That’s really the only thing that gets me down at birthdays.
Anyway, have a fantastic day!
Hauoli La Hanau (Happy Birthday)! Are you at that age where you sometimes forget the number? I’ve been that age for quite some time now. This November I’ll be one year from the big four-oh. So what are you so worried about? I always say that age is just a number. Have fun, you only live once.
Happy Birthday Toni!!! Being your silly self is the best way to get older. Always enjoy yourself.
Happy Birthday!
I dreaded my 30th birthday. DREADED. But that was before my baby girl was born. On my 30th birthday, I didn’t care how old I was, now that I had her. It just seemed insignificant anymore.
I think I may dread the 40 now. That’s only 2 1/2 years away. But I don’t know, it doesn’t really seem to bother me that much. I still feel rather young, and I’m 37 now. I guess you are as old as you feel, right?!
HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY!
You are freaking adorable at any age.
Definitely 30 — I hit that in November! I was in shock. I knew it was coming but when it did..I was still in shock. Here it is Aug. and I am stil in shock–LOL!
I hope you had a fantastic birthday!
