How Scary Are The Houses At Halloween Horror Nights?

Halloween Horror night houses

I recently shared all about my adventure to Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights. I gave a summary in my review post, but I also wanted to share which houses I thought were scariest and why! So here they are in order from ones I almost lost my voice in (least scariest but still terrifying to me) to ones I don’t know if I could be paid to go into again!

8) Roanoke Cannibal Colony: This house is not for the weak of stomach…as you can probably assume from the Cannibal title, this contains some gory sections. I actually only screamed twice in this house, that’s saying a lot, it wasn’t from lack of scare but I think because this one was more of a gore house to me. I was pretty proud of my bravery in this house

7) AVP: Alien Vs. Predator. This house was amazing. Every detail in this, seemed like you were stepping into the AVP movie. I was so impressed with this house. I was legitimately creeped out over the aliens and still shiver when I think about this house. I loved the detail that went into this house (and all of them for that matter).

6) Dracula Untold- Reign of Blood. This house is all about how Dracula came to be. This is another one that has some gore in it. The set was amazing. Vampires scare me and them hiding in the dark was enough to make me fast walk as fast as my legs would take me, through this house.

5) From Dusk til Dawn. The casting of scare actors was right on in this house. Evil vampire women and fight scenes that you are caught in the middle of, is one that gets your heart pumping. This is also one that guys seem to love….hot vampires in very little clothing may have something to do with that. I’d be willing to bet they would willingly give their blood for some one on one time with these vamps!

4) The Walking Dead: End of The Line. This is the longest house in HHN history. Having never seen The Walking Dead, it honestly made me want to see the show. I was scared half to death in parts of this. There was one section that had a strobe light and both real and fake people, it was so disorienting and the fact zombies were already trying to get me through the house, I was ready to run!

3) Halloween. Michael Meyers…enough said. I have been terrified of this masked killer since I walked in on the movie when I was a little girl, to have a house full of Michael Meyers, is not something my nerves was quite ready for. But it was amazing, they got it perfect from the outside through the inside. A Michael Meyers is stepping out at you, knife in hand, at every corner.

2) Giggles and Gore, Inc. This evil clown factory is one I prefer not to ever visit again. You see clowns and I are not on such great terms. Add a little evil into the mix and well, it’s the thing nightmares are made of. Walking through this house you come face to face with evil clowns and see how they are made. I was almost hyperventilating by the end of this one!

and last, but the one I will never forget…nor do I ever want to return to….

1) Dollhouse of the Damned. I get chills simply writing the name out. It was by far the scariest house. Not only in appearance..

but in creep factor as well. This house is made, literally, of doll parts in different areas. As if that is not creepy enough you are encountering live dolls (and not live but they look just as alive) through this house. I can still smell one room we went through, there was a big guy with a baby head and the room smelled like dirty diapers and baby powder. As you continue through the house you come into a room with a demon like doll who is brushing the hair of another doll and in it’s creepy demon voice (while looking and coming at you) “Make you pretty”.

I screamed and screamed some more through this house (okay I screamed through most of them but the most in this one)…honestly I may have been on the verge of tears…I’ll never tell! This house creeped me out so much that when I returned home, one night my daughter was laying with me in bed and I woke up, looked at her, grabbed my cover and ran to the living room because I thought she was one of the dolls. Creep factor is definitely through the roof on this one!

So, there you have it, while they were all scary, there are ones I would love to go through and be scared again, but there are some I will not be going through again…ever. Which house do you think would be the most scary for you??
