During my whirlwind adventure in LA, one of the highlights of the trip was getting to sit down and talk with FERGIE! Yes, that Fergie…as in awesome solo artist and female lead of the Black Eyed Peas! You might have even caught me doing a dance or two on youtube to some of the songs she sang. Though I didn’t mention that in the interview.
Fergie came in the room and instantly the atmosphere was full of fun! She brought so much energy in with her, it almost made me jump out of my seat and dance. We got to chat with Fergie just like we were old friends. We talked about music, motherhood, the AMAs and more.
One of the things that really stuck out about the interview was when Fergie said “You can have it all, just not at the same time”..I love that thinking. Too often we tend to overwhelm ourselves and with her being in fashion, music, a mom, and so much more, how does she do it all? With iCal of course (my favorite part of my apple products). It seems Fergie and I both like to color code our iCal calendars. She also makes sure to get her “me time” in (this is something I need to do more).
As we chatted more with Fergie about her new single LA Love (la la), we were treated to a fun bit of singing. Part of the song itself and then later in the interview a cute song she and her husband sing to their son. While we are talking LA Love (la la), have you heard it yet? As if talking with her about motherhood and music wasn’t enough, we found out she is going to be performing at two amazing events and hosting one of those events….
She is going to be performing her new single at The AMA’s!! You can catch the AMA’s this Sunday, November 23, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC! Hosting the awards will be Pit Bull and along with Fergie, there will be so many amazing performance by some of today’s hottest artists. You know I’ll be watching, me and music are besties, plus I adore most of the artists in the running for awards and the ones performing!
