Veggie Tales has been a part of my family’s life for as long as I can remember. I have always loved the entertainment Big Idea Productions puts out. With the newest release in the Veggie Tales series and the release of the first season of their 3-2-1 Penguins it’s been a lot of laughs and learning in our house.

About 3-2-1 Penguins!:

includes all 13 episodes from the first season of the top-rated series that aired on NBC. Fans and families will be able to revel in the adventures of Space Penguin Pals Zidgel, Fidgel, Midgel and Kevin as they engage their young friends Michelle and Jason to help them solve intergalactic crises with faith and fun! In addition to the episodes, the DVD will feature bonus content including “How to Draw Midgel,” “Space Academy: Speak Like An Alien,” “Midgel’s Cool Blue Space Fuel,” and the “Make Your Own Planet” activity. 3-2-1 Penguins!—Complete Season One provides close to five hours of intergalactic entertainment! This is the first time families will be able to enjoy the episodes from season one back-to-back.

We have been laughing ourselves silly watching the penguins embark on adventures all while adding in the lessons of faith that is so important for me to instill in my children. The penguins definitely leave you craving adventure and wanting to see what happens in the next episode. You can pick it up for $19.99 (SRP)

About Veggie Tales “Little One Can Do Big Things Too”:

Veggie Tales: Little Ones Can Do Big Things Too
was inspired by a classic VeggieTales favorite song, “Little Guys Can Do Big Things Too,” these shows let kids know that even though they are small, they can be used by God to do BIG things! This compilation DVD includes introductions from beloved VeggieTales characters Bob, Larry and Junior, and features the popular Veggie Kids (real kids’ voices animated with little veggies), providing their thoughts on everything from how big God is to how little they sometimes feel! VeggieTales: Little Ones Can Do Big Things Too includes popular shows VeggieTales: Dave & The Giant Pickle, VeggieTales Pistachio: The Little Boy Who Woodn’t and VeggieTales: Lyle the Kindly Viking, plus three great Silly Songs (“I Love My Lips,” “Larry’s High Silk Hat” and “Where Have All The Staplers Gone?”). The DVD also provides 10 minutes of brand-new animation and extra bonus features! You don’t have to be BIG to do great things.

Always having been fans of Veggie Tales I loved that they geared this toward showing smaller kids it’s okay not to be the biggest. That small kids can make a difference to. My daughter and oldest son have both always been on the small side and it can get frustrating to them. I love being able to use these videos to show them how God is able to use us no matter what our size. Don’t forget to watch the Silly Songs With Larry for an extra laugh…I may or may not sing the “I Love My Lips” song quite often around here. Find in online or in a store near you for $12.99 (SRP)

If you are looking for great shows to watch as a family I highly suggest picking both of these up. Lessons, laughs and fun are what keep my kids interested and both 3-2-1 Penguins! and Veggie Tales have plenty of each.

My kids used to watch Veggie Tales when they were younger. When my oldest son was about 2 he would sing the theme song and just butcher it, singing what he thought he heard. It was really funny, something I will never forget. I just wish my boys would eat more vegetables!
