Day 9: Something That Makes Your Life Easier

Today is Day 9 in the “30 Days About Me” Series and we are talking about what makes life easier. In true fashion, I have a few things but we will start with…

APPLE, they make my life easier. My macbook, which it seems they don’t sell anymore, and my iPhone are two of the things that make my life easier. How you ask? By keeping me connected and by entertaining my kids. I am very connected to friends and family through online sites and email, without that I fear I wouldn’t talk to some of them near as much as I do. My phone keeps me connected through online as well as voice, I can be reached at a moment’s notice (though sometimes that’s bad LOL). It keeps my Bible right in hand at all times. My iPhone also entertains my kids, the games are fun and it helps in car rides.

Some other things that make my life easier are:

  • My van (or any car). I know what it’s like to not have a vehicle, we are dealing with that right now while waiting to get the tires fixed. I don’t like having to depend on others to get me to and from while Brent is at work. At times when I don’t have it, I really realize, my car definitely makes my life easier.
  • The microwave. Sometimes my kids want to eat a chicken nugget pretty much the moment they ask for it, not the 25 minutes it will take for the little toaster oven to cook them. 2 minutes in the microwave and voila instant lunch.Β A Dishwasher. This I can say because we had one in the past but don’t right now and the washing dishes is so time consuming, there are plenty of other things I could/should be doing when I have to wash dishes.
  • Birkenstock, I have a pair in black and brown, you simply slide them on and go.
  • DVR! No more sitting through commercials!
  • My Bible (I had to edit to add this, can’t believe I didn’t include it). Β It helps me so much and comforts me, definitely something to make my life easier or more bearable.

Those are some of the things (and there are plenty more) that make my life easier. Now it’s your turn, if you are a blogger link up your Day 9 post in the linky below. If you aren’t simply join in by posting in the comment section some things that make your life easier.

I’m still a “PC” when it comes to our computers, but I’m all about Apple and my iPhone… and I’m saving for an iPad.
You’ve got some other great things there too!!!

DVR is AMAZING! It’s funny because I never wanted one when they first came out. Hubby had to convince me and now I would DIE without it!

I am torn on the computer deal… when it works… sure makes life easier… seems like more often than not, it doesn’t do what it is supposed to and then it makes life a whole lot harder!

    Happy Wednesday,

I’m SERIOUSLY dragging my butt with my 30 days. I JUST posted mine for today. Can you catch me as I fall from being so stressed? Gah.

I’m off to watch My Best Friend’s Wedding. *pout*

  10. 19

I forgot by the DVR! I don’t even watch live TV anymore–well except for sports. Shows on channels like Discovery are only like 35 minutes after you zip through all the commercials.

    Good post!

I tried Apple…and had to go back! I have a Droid now, and I love it…the only thing I miss is Instagram. I have photo apps, but I liked Instagram. I think eventually, the Android market will pick it up, like they have many of the other apps, it’s just a matter of time. Until then, I can handle waiting…because there was nothing worse than the Apple products telling me what I couldn’t do because of this or that contract…all the things that the Droid CAN do. It has facetime, it’s just not called facetime. It doesn’t have iTunes because you have the Droid market. You can surf the web while you talk. All the things Apple boasts about…the Droid can do, they just have different names. They have tablets too…and some of them are even cheaper!! Imagine that!! *twitch*mobmentalityapplefollowersiftheywouldswitchbackforabit*twitch* I should step off my soapbox now…

LOL some people do prefer droid. I haven’t done anything yet (or wanted I should say) that Apple has said I couldn’t do, I never even realized they did that. Though if I weren’t an iPhone fanatic I probably would be into droid.

  12. 23

My new iPad 2 makes my lie easier. I watch videos, listen to music, read books and use a business app for my job. All-in-one excellent Apple gadget.

  13. 25

My iPhone – which I know I just got 2 weeks ago – is the most amazing thing! LOL I know it sounds silly – but compared to a BlackBerry – there are so many things you can do with it! What a great organization tool!
