The new member of our family, Sienna, has been on an adventure…a camping adventure!
I will go ahead and admit…I don’t camp. Sleeping in a tent with no way to charge my phone and being without entertainment (music, movies, etc) is just not up my alley. I have never claimed to be anything other than girly and this girly girl is not one with nature….until now!
The 2014 Toyota Sienna has given me a whole new liking for camping. It’s comfort, entertainment, and mobility all in one. With the second row lounge seating (totally getting a full feature about that in an upcoming post) we can relax out under the stars while watching our favorite movies. The third row folds flat in one motion, with the push of a button, and was the perfect area to sleep and day nap…
And a rested girl is a happy girl….
What I love about having the 2014 Toyota Sienna as my “tent” is on the way to the campsite it can store tents (for those in my family who like to be one with nature) and other various camping supplies. Then once unloaded it becomes a bed, though my husband would be a bit too tall with the middle row still in tact. We would need to remove it for him to fit for sleeping. The kids loved laying in the back floor and my husband and I could sit in the lounge chairs AKA middle row, and watch movies.
It allowed me to rest so I could really take part in some of the camping adventures like kayaking, fishing, and much more…
I loved being able to use the auto-open tailgate and sit facing the fire from the Sienna. We visited with friends and family and Sienna (remember that’s my not so original name for my new child…the van) was able to be a part of memory making yet again. The comfort it (she) provided was perfect for this mom who prefers not to sleep outside and allowed us to still enjoy some luxuries like outlets, movies, music, while having a fun time at the camp!
The 2014 Sienna isn’t just for driving, it’s for camping, watching movies, making memories, seeing the world…and so much more. We’ll be taking Sienna on her first road trip for Thanksgiving. I have no doubt she will take to the road like a pro and get us where we need to go with her awesome navigation system, but there will be more on that in the coming posts. Until then, we are enjoying life by the beach and our new way of camping in style!
**I have received a 2014 Toyota Sienna to drive for 3 months as part of the Sienna Diaries program. All thoughts and opinions are my honest views**

Oh wow how fun, looks like a super nice ride, great for outdoor activities!
I don’t camp. And we were just talking about this the other day… I told my husband if we just slept in our vehicle, I might do it. 🙂 Love our pics!
Girl, I’d be in the Sienna too. There’s no way I’d be sleeping out in that tent!
Now that’s my kind of camping!
Now that is awesome. I’m so not a camper either, we went to the Texas Renaissance Festival earlier this month and opted to drive the 3 1/2 hours both ways in one day instead of camp out with friends. If I had a van like this though, I totally would have slept in it!
I definitely prefer your tent…lol
Fun! We love camping, but I love getting into a clean car and resting in the AC (or warming up in the chilly fall). The Sienna looks awesome!
I haven’t been camping since I was a kid. Now, I honestly don’t think it would be up my alley either (watched too many horror movies, lol). If I were to camp, that would be the only way I would do it!
