A Modern Mother started the traveling blog carnival and December 2 is my turn to host the carnival.
Basically here is what it is, taken from A modern mother: The Best of the Mommy Bloggers Carnival. Also visit the above link to see the schedule for the carvnival.
A carnival is a blogging event and “The Best of the Mommy Bloggers Carnival” takes place every two weeks and features recent posts from the cream of the mommy blogger community.
This is how it works: every two weeks a different mommy blogger “hosts†the carnival. The blogger community submits their best post from the past month — this could be your most popular post, something that has done well on StumbleUpon or Digg, or one that has loads of comments.
The rules are one post per blogger and it must be something written in the past four weeks.
The host blogger then compiles the carnival entry post from their pick of the top 25 (can be first 25 submitted, or best 25, but it needs to be capped it or it will get unwieldy).
The Carnival post links to the full articles, and all of the submitters in return publicize with a post that “The Best of the Mommy Bloggers Carnival is up†with a short write-up and link to the Carnival.
This is a great way to create traffic and link love to all sites involved.
I will be hosting the carnival on December 2 so please between now and November 29 (I need time to pick 25 and read them for the post) submit your favorite post. If I only get 25 or less I will use all the ones submitted if I get more than that I will put all the emails into draw or something LOL.
So start submitting now, pick your ONE favorite post from the last 4 weeks and email the link to me at tpatton5@gmail.com and you might see your post in Week 2 of The Best of the Mommy Bloggers Carnival.
