Back home and down off my high

Well they took me back to get my vitals and all and gave me the valium and then they took me to a very romantically lit room (I guess they do that since they are messing with your breast, they want to put you in the mood hahaha) so then the nice little lady nurse excused herself to go tinkle, the ultrasound lady did another ultrasound so she could mark on my boob where the mass was located. Then the nurse returned and the doctor came in and he could have been my grandpa LOL.

By this time I am about to crack up from the valium I guess, but I found it funny I had an older lady cleaning my boob, a good looking girl ultrasound tech that has to rub gel all around my boob and someone that could be my grandpa pushing, poking and prodding my breast. Anyhow they gave me the numbing shot, that was not the greatest feeling in the world it stung kinda like when you get a paper cut. Well it worked dandy I could not feel a damn think in my boob. Then they pull out they sucky thing to get the mass out with and I thought “Oh Lord they are gonna put this thing in my breast it is gonna suck everything out and I will be deflated!”

AHA Moment I seriously almost asked them if they could go ahead and put something in there that would be similar to an implant when they got through messing with my insides they may as well fill them up for me too

When they first inserted the sucky needle they had to push down on my breast really hard, I thought “I am gonna pass out I can’t breathe” Meanwhile they are telling me to breathe normally. Well Mister doctor and Miss nurse you try breathing when someone is squishing your lungs into your spine. So they had to obviously push it through the tissue and fat to get to the mass and I could feel anytime they broke through a layer of tissue it was weird. It didn’t hurt persay but I could feel the pop.

Then they started sucking bits and pieces out and then they got done and my tinkle lady friend held pressure over the hole to stop the bleeding and then put the steristrips on and then put a pressure bandage on that i have to leave on until morning. I have to leave the steri strips on for at least 3 days and have to basically wear a bra all the time (except showers) for 3 days. Now for some this may not be a problem but for me, I like to be free all day when I am at home blogging away on my computer (I know nice visual right) I can’t lift anything over 5 lbs, and need to try to do as little as possible that will cause me to use the muscles in that breast (i hope typing doesn’t count LOL) But they said no laundry, no cooking, no lifting kids. I am sure you know this breaks my heart! I have to make sure the area stays dry until it is healed, so this gives me my excuse to avoid the gym for a few days and chow down on some Cold Stone Creamery, after all the cold ice cream will help me stay cool so I don’t sweat!

All in all it was not horrible but then again I think the valium may have had something to do with that. They even learned the birth stories of all 3 of my children and I snickered when the lady was sterilizing my breast so yes I was flying high with the happy pill.

I should get my results back in 24-48 hours.

Thank you so much for all the prayers and well wishes!
