I came across this song a few days ago and still today after hearing it several times it has brought me to tears. It’s such a touching song and truly the reason for Christmas. It’s the meaning behind the holiday. Yes, it’s fun with family and presents but Christ being born is the real reason we celebrate Christmas.
Here are the lyrics to this song in case you were wanting to read them
Where’s The Line To See Jesus
Christmas time was approaching, the snow is starting to fall,
Shoppers choosing their presents, people filling the mall,
Children waiting for Santa with excitement and glee.
A little boy tugged my sweater, looked up and asked me,
Where’s the line to see Jesus? Is He here at the store?
If Christmas time is His birthday, why don’t we see Him more?
As I stood in amazement at this message profound,
I looked down to thank him, he was no where around.
The little boy at the mall might as well have had wings
As the tears filled my eyes, I thought I heard him say,
Where’s the line to see Jesus? Is He here at the store?
If Christmas time is His birthday, why don’t we see Him more?
Where’s the line to see Jesus? He was born for me.
Santa Claus brought me presents, but Christ gave His life for me.
In the blink of an eye, at the sound of His trump,
We’ll all stand in line at His throne.
Every knee shall bow down, every tongue will confess,
That Jesus Christ is Lord.
Where’s the line to see Jesus? Is He here at the store?
If Christmas time is His birthday, why don’t we see Him more?
Where’s the line to see Jesus? He was born for me.
Santa Claus brought me presents, but Christ gave His life for me.
One more thing….it’s okay to say Merry CHRISTmas. We aren’t a Happy Holidays family here we are definitely a Merry Christmas family putting Christ back into Christmas. I hope all you are gearing up for the Christmas festivities and remember what the day is truly about.

What a beautiful song! I’ve never heard it before, or seen the video. Wonderful–thanks for sharing.
And Merry Christmas!
That’s why people should bake a birthday cake for Jesus and sing Happy Birthday to him on Christmas. I grew up with this tradition, but it was just a cake the family made together and decorated together. We blew the candles out together and said “We are not blowing out the light of this world, but taking him into our hearts.”
I also read a blogger who makes her Jesus birthday cake with a chocolate layer, covered with white frosting, then a white cake colored with red food coloring layer, of course covered with white frosting, and then a green food colored white cake layer, again colored with frosting.
Chocolate layer our sins, red layer the blood of Christ to redeem us, the green layer eternal life, and of course the white frosting, our sins are washed whiter than snow.
Merry Christmas.
